
PIMG believes in all-round development of its students. It believes
in bringing out the latent skills of a person by providing right
kind of environment and opportunities. Students of the Institute
regularly organize seminars, various competitions, quiz, cultural
programs, etc which provide a platform to students for expressing
their talents and acquiring knowledge. Towards this objective
the Institute organizes two day annual festival interface every
year.
Excursion
Tour
The students are sent on educational tours every year. They
went to Bangalore and Ooty during Oct 24 to November. 02, 2003
this year. The students are accompanied by the faculty members
on such tours.
Kriti
It
is a National Software & Debugging Contest. The Institute
organizes National Software development & debugging contest
every year. Students representing institutions from all over India
participate in the contest. This contest provides a platform to
the students to display their software development and debugging
skills and is recorded for their creativity.
Management Games
The institute has been sponsoring its students to participate
in Students Management Games (SMG) organized by Prestige Institute
of Management and Research, Indore in collaboration with All India
Management Association (AIMA) every year since 1998.
Extra Mural Lecture Series
This is another dynamic aspect of PIMG's Management and Information
Technology programs. Guest lectures are organized to supplement
the theoretical knowledge of students with practical aspects of
management and information technology by experienced professionals
from reputed organizations. Many executives and eminent personalities
from various industries are invited to the Institute regularly
for interacting with students on relevant topics or particular
aspects of management and information technology. This enriches
students with their experience in industry and commerce.
Industrial Visits
The students of MBA and MCA programs visit Industrial units
to understand how management concepts and IT skills are applied
in real settings. This helps them acquire application oriented
learning.
