Teaching

Major focus of the Institute has been on imparting knowledge and developing skills related to Management and Information Technology. Case method of teaching is used to supplement the lectures delivered by the faculty in Management courses and hands on practice is provided to the students of Computer Application courses. The students are exposed to industry through Industrial Visits, Summer Training and Project Work.

Training and Consultancy

The Institute offers Training and Consultancy services to industrial and business units through its faculty in the areas of Production, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, General Management and Information Technology.

Research

Heavy emphasis is laid on fundamental and applied research in different functional areas of Management and Computer Science. The Institute has been undertaking major as well as minor research projects sponsored by various funding bodies at state as well as national levels.

Extra Mural Lecture Series

This is another dynamic aspect of PIMG's Management and Information Technology programs. Guest lectures are organized to supplement the theoretical knowledge of students with practical aspects of Management and Information Technology by experienced professionals coming from reputed organizations. Executives and eminent personalities from the corporate world are invited to the Institute regularly for interacting with students on relevant topics and pragmatic aspects of Management and Information Technology. Such interactions enrich students by exposing them to the experiences of the industry.

Publications

The Institute publishes conference souvenir containing abstracts and edited book containing research papers selected from the papers presented during annual national conferences. The Institute is also coming up with a biannual Newsletter to keep all concerned abreast with developments in the Institute. The Institute also brings out Annual Magazine for providing an opportunity to students for expressing their creative potentials.

Social Activities

The Institute regularly organizes various cultural and social activities. Functions like "Independence Day" and "Republic Day" are celebrated by students, faculty and staff members with patriotic zeal. Events like Teacher's Day & Vanmahotasva are celebrated by the students in collaboration with faculty and staff members to fulfill responsibility towards the society Sports Competitions, Quizzes, Management Games etc. are some of the regular co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the Institute.

Students Activities

PIMG believes in all round development of its students. The Institute believes in bringing out the latent potential of students by providing them the right kind of environment and opportunities. Students of the Institute regularly organize seminars, group discussions, quizzes, cultural programs etc. which provide a platform to them to demonstrate and hone their skills.

National Management & IT Festival "Spandan"

The Institute organizes three days National Management and IT festival "Spandan" every year. Students representing Institutions from all over India participate in various cultural, educational and competitive events organized during the Spandan. The festival provides hands on experience of managing events to the students. Celebrities from various fields are invited to encourage students to participate in cultural and event management activities. In this line Nirmal Pandey (Actor) was invited as Chief Guest for 'Spandan' 06, Harmeet Singh GuIzar (Meet Brothers, Singer) was invited as Chief Guest for 'Spandan' 07 and Justice Shri B.N. Gupta as Chief Guest for ‘Spandan’ 08. Events like Best Manger, Brand Quiz, Business Quiz, IT Quiz, Face Painting, Creative Writing, and Software Debugging Contest etc. provide enough opportunities to the students to display their management and IT skills. In the Mahakhumb 'Spandan' 08 approx 500 Institute across the country gave the favourable response and made the event a blast.

Alumni Meet

The Institute has the tradition to stay in touch with the passed out students. Alumni association has been formed and an annual meet of passed out students takes place every yearin order to facilitate constant interaction with their alma mater.

Excursion Tour

The Institute sends students on excursion tour every year. The students learn leadership skills, team building, goal setting, attainment of objectives, time management etc. through practical exposure on the tour. The faculty members accompany the students on such tours.
